LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI women's water polo team will round out its spring break trip to California in the next two days, playing matches Tuesday and Wednesday. On Tuesday the Keydets will face Concordia Irvine at 6 p.m. and California Baptist University Wednesday at 3 p.m.
Despite five goals from Genevieve
Petrassi, the VMI women's water polo team was defeated twice at Chapman University Saturday at the Alfred Aquatics Center.
Petrassi and Sydney
Shettleroe each had two goals against Cal Lutheran and Gia
Donatelli also scored.
Caragh Osborne had an assist and
Katie Lloyd made six saves.
Petrassi had a hat trick against Chapman and
Shettleroe, Osborne,
Makenna Moore each scored twice.
Ellie Pickford had a goal and Moore and
Kiara Anguiano each had assists.
VMI will host three other Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) schools this weekend in Clark King Pool for eight matches Saturday and Sunday.
