The Keydets opened the 2022 season Friday with a 10-5 upset of 23
rd-ranked Duke University at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The last time the Keydets defeated a ranked team was February 20, 2018, a 9-4 victory at #15 Virginia. Tyler Bradt threw six strong innings Friday, allowing just one earned run, six hits and two walks while striking out eight Blue Devils. He picked up the win and had an ERA on the day of 1.50.

Will Knight had huge numbers in the three games in North Carolina. He hit .500 with two doubles, a triple and five RBI. Knight had an on-base percentage of .643 (3 BB and 1 HBP) and a slugging percentage of .900. Red-shirt sophomore
Trey Morgan hit .462 with a double, a homer, two stolen bases and five runs scored. He reached base at a .533 clip and boasted a slugging percentage of .769.
The Keydets will host Lafayette University in a three-game weekend series at Gray-Minor Stadium. First pitches are slated for 3 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
