PRINCETON, N.J. – Despite four goals from VMI senior
Genevieve Petrassi, the #21
st-ranked Princeton women's water polo team defeated the Keydets 19-9 Saturday at the Princeton Invitational.
The Tigers used a 7-0 first quarter to take control of the game and Princeton led 11-3 at halftime.
Makenna Moore and
Sydney Shettleroe each scored twice for VMI and
Courtney Novotny also had a tally.
Kayla Yelnesky and Kate Mallory each had hat tricks for Princeton (7-2).
The Keydets are slated to meet Bucknell (8 a.m.) and Harvard (1 p.m.) Universities Sunday to finish up the Princeton Invite.
