LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI wrestling team hosts Davidson College Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. in a Southern Conference match from Cormack Hall. The programs two seniors, Robbie Adelstein and Luke Nicksic, will be honored in a pre-match ceremony.

The Keydets also travel to Chattanooga Sunday for another SoCon match at 1 p.m.

The Keydets defeated Davidson last season, 24-18, in North Carolina. Tyler Mousaw (197). Blake Showers (157) and Job Chishko (149) each won their matches against the Wildcats.

This will mark the Keydets second trip to Chattanooga this season, as VMI competed in the Southern Scuffle at UTC on Jan 1. The Mocs defeated VMI 36-3 last season, with Mousaw winning his match at 197.

VMI split a pair of SoCon matches last Sunday at Campbell University, defeating Presbyterian University 28-18 before falling 40-0 to the host school. The Keydets recorded four victories by pin in the victory against Presbyterian; Freddy Junko at 141 in 4:42, Showers in 4:07 at 165, Jon Hoover in 4:58 at 174 and Mousaw at 197 in 1:25. Seth Fillers won by major decision 10-2 at 157, while Luke Hart lost just 4-2 at 149. Hoover (1-0) and Mousaw (8-6) came up just short in their matches against Campbell.
