Butler Pours in 25 as VMI Pulls Away from Carlow

LEXINGTON, Va.
- Junior Devin Butler nailed seven three-pointers and scored a career-high 25 points Wednesday evening to lead the VMI men's basketball team to a 106-67 win over Carlow University in Cameron Hall.

The visiting Celtics kept the game close until the final minutes of the first half. The Keydets closed out the period with a 16-4 run to enter intermission ahead 51-34. The advantage soon was extended to 32 points after VMI outscored the Celtics 26-11 over the first nine minutes of the second half.

Game Highlights:
*Butler's seven three pointers were also a career best, and the guard also added five rebounds and a career-high five steals  
*Senior Sean Conway scored all 22 of his points in the first half and grabbed nine of his game-high 12 rebounds in the game's first 20 minutes
*Asher Woods posted 18 points with seven rebounds while Tyler Houser had 14 points and seven boards
*Rickey Bradley, Jr. handed out a career-high 10 assists and corralled eight rebounds
*Tony Felder, Jr. netted 11 points and added five assists
*Jake Johnston had career-highs of eight points and seven rebounds
*The Keydets had a huge 55-27 rebounding advantage with seven of eight active players credited with five or more caroms
* Hunter DeStefano scored a game-high 16 for Carlow; Brevan Williams tallied 15
* Nehemiah Brazil had a full stat line of 14 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals
