LEXINGTON, Va. – Already one of the most decorated linebackers in Keydet history, VMI's
Stone Snyder added another accolade to the list, earning Associated Press Third Team All-American recognition for his play in the 2022 season.
The two-time Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Year and now three-time All-American has been named a Buck Buchanan finalist for the third consecutive season, First Team All-SoCon and AP All-American all in the last three weeks.
Finishing just outside of the top 10 in career tackles at VMI, Snyder collected 339 for his career despite playing in just 38 games due to the Covid-shortened spring 2021 season. This season, Snyder led the Southern Conference with 107 tackles in 10 games, ending the season third in the country with an average of 10.7 tackles per game.
