WASHINGTON, D.C. – The VMI men's and women's swimming and diving teams fell Saturday at Howard University but had many noteworthy performances and personal bests on the afternoon. Howard's men won 162-62 and took the women's competition 172-52.
Women's swim notes:
*The oldest women's swimming record on the books was broken.
Noelle Tong,
Julia Ward,
Anna Grace Adams and
Valerie Tonnu broke the rat Women 400 Free Relay record from 2012. The four finished in 3:53.81, beating the former record of 3:55.99

Julia Ward took 3rd in the 50 Fly and 2nd in the 200 free

Anne Bowles finished 3rd in the 50 breast

Rachel Greathouse swam to 3rd place in the 1000 free
Women's Diving Notes:

London Yerasimides scored a personal record of 216.825 points, taking second place
*
Gia Donatelli had a PR of 149.56 points, taking 4th place and also placed 4th in the women's 50 yard breast

Ella Davenport scored a PR of 145.50 taking 5th place
Men's Diving Notes:

Bridger Thurston recorded a personal record of 270.525 points, taking first place

Lane Jones had PR of 197.025 points, finishing 3rd

Michael Menton scored a PR of 180.15, taking 4th place

Ethan Griffith took second place in the 1000 free
