Men’s Soccer Hosts Mercer Saturday

LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI men's soccer team opens a four-game home stand Saturday against Mercer University, with the Southern Conference game slated to start at 1 p.m. on Patchin Field.  

The Keydets played nationally-ranked UNC Greensboro tough Saturday, falling just 1-0. The Spartans followed up with a 2-1 upset victory over #18 Clemson University on Tuesday.

About the Bears
Mercer played Furman University to a scoreless tie Saturday and now holds a 0-0-2 record in the SoCon and 4-3-6 overall. Dylan Gaither has five goals and six assists for 16 points on the season, while Kadeem Agard has netted three goals to go with four assists.

VMI is looking for its first victory against Mercer, with the Bears holding a 15-0 record all-time vs. the Keydets.
