The two teams have met 28 times in their long history. VMI last won in 2010 at Patchin Field in a historic way, as the Keydets and senior keeper
Brian Sowell shutout the Highlanders 3-0. Sowell made six saves en route to breaking the school's career all-time shutout record, and he finished with 10 in his prolific career.
