Lexington, Va. – The VMI baseball team will be on the road this week, starting Tuesday with a non-conference game at Virginia Commonwealth University at 6:30 p.m.
The two teams have met three times already this season.

The Keydets nearly won a Southern Conference series against Wofford College this weekend, but the Terriers rallied for a 3-2 win in the third game. VMI red-shirt freshman
Tyler Bradt was masterful in his second start of the season in the rubber match. He allowed no runs in his seven innings of work, giving up four hits and four walks with four strikeouts. For the season he boasts a 1.61 ERA.

Justin Starke hit .438 last week, with .500 on base and slugging percentages. He scored five runs and had three RBI. He is hitting .471 in April, with four doubles and three home runs. Starke has 13 RBI and 14 runs in 13 games this month, with a .534 on base percentage and a .725 slugging percentage.

Cody Warner is also enjoying April at the plate, boasting a .340 batting average and a .441 on base percentage with 13 runs and four stolen bases out of the leadoff position.
VCU defeated Virginia in its last outing on April 20 before having a series against Richmond postponed. The Rams are 22-14 on the year.
VMI will resume Southern Conference play this weekend at The Citadel Friday and Saturday.
