LEXINGTON, Va. – In a match originally scheduled for Saturday, the VMI men's soccer team will now travel Friday to face Southern Conference leader Furman University 7 p.m. at Stone Soccer Stadium in Greenville, South Carolina. The match was moved up due to the threat of inclement weather in the area Saturday.

The Keydets (2-6, 0-3) are coming off a 4-0 loss to UNCG Tuesday. Sophomore
Nathan Lam had three shots on the game and leads VMI with 17 shots and three goals on the season.

The Paladins (5-1, 3-0 SoCon) lead the conference in the standings and won in double overtime against Mercer Tuesday night. Senior Cole McLagan was named SoCon Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Furman's Shaun-Chris Joash and Jake Raine each have four goals on the season. Goalie Ben Hale has 25 saves so far.
