LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI baseball team returns home Tuesday to face the University of Richmond in a non-conference game at 6 p.m. in Gray-Minor Stadium.

The Keydets will look to even the season series after Richmond defeated VMI in Richmond 10-3 on March 6. Red-shirt junior Callen Nuccio went 2-4 in the game with three RBI for VMI.

For the season, red-shirt freshman Trey Morgan leads the team with a .464 batting average, a .571 on base percentage and an .821 slugging percentage. He has two triples, two home runs, three stolen bases and had 10 runs and eight RBI. The southpaw has also thrown nine innings on the mound, posting a 4.00 ERA with one save.

Red-shirt freshman shortstop Zac Morris has a .342 batting average with 10 runs scored and nine RBI while freshman catcher Cole Garrett is hitting .324 with nine runs. Red-shirt freshman Justin Starke boasts a .460 on base percentage with two home runs and nine runs scored.

Drew Blakely paces Richmond (6-4) with a .459 batting average and has a team-high nine runs on the year.
