LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI men's soccer team returns home to host Mercer University Saturday in a Southern Conference matchup set for a 2 p.m. start on Patchin Field.

Belmont University defeated the Keydets (2-4, 0-1) 5-0 in Nashville on Tuesday. Junior Broden Schull made seven saves on the game, bringing his total to 35 on the season. Sophomore Nathan Lam leads the Keydets with 13 shots on the season, netting three goals.
The Bears (2-7-1, 0-1-1 SoCon) will travel to Lexington after a 1-0 loss against ETSU on Tuesday. Mercer took at least 15 shots for the third time this season, with nine shots on goal in the loss.
Mercer is led in goals by Dylan Gaither, with four on the fall and spring schedule. Keepers JR DeRose and Brant Zulauf split time with 35 saves combined on the season.
