LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI baseball team has added a game to the schedule this week, a home contest Tuesday against Radford University at 3 p.m. in Gray-Minor Stadium.
The Keydets also have a mid-week road contest at George Washington University Wednesday at 3 p.m. Both are non-conference games.

James Madison University took two of three games against VMI last week. The two teams played Thursday in Harrisonburg and in Lexington Saturday and Sunday. Red-shirt freshman
Trey Morgan had a huge week at the plate, bashing two home runs to go along with two triples in his 12 at bats. He had a .500 batting average, a 1.333 slugging percentage and added six runs and four RBI. Fellow red-shirt freshman
Zac Morris hit .462 with four runs and four RBI and a home run. Red-shirt sophomore
Will Knight hit .455 with a .625 on-base percentage and an .818 slugging percentage. He set the single-game school record with five walks on Saturday, and hit a home run in his only other at bat. Freshmen
Cole Garrett and
Ty Swaim hit .429 and .400, respectively for the week.
Radford is 7-7 on the season, sweeping a Big South three-game series at High Point University over the weekend. Sean Cheely leads the team with a .347 batting average and has eight runs on the season.
George Washington is 5-4 on the year after dropping a three-game set at home against St. Joseph's this weekend. Steve Barmakian has a robust .471 batting average on the season with a .548 on base percentage.
