LEXINGTON, Va. – Fresh off a two-game winning streak, the VMI baseball team will be back in action Tuesday with a road non-conference game at VCU at 3 p.m.

The Keydets earned a 2-1 series win against NJIT last week, coming from behind to take the last two games. VMI scored in the bottom of the seventh Thursday to defeat the Highlanders 2-1 (7) and erased a 7-2 deficit in the bottom of the fifth Friday for an 8-7 five-inning win

Justin Starke had a huge week for VMI. He started strong against #14 Virginia Tuesday, going 2-2 with a home run and three walks. He followed up with two hits and two walks in the series opener against NJIT and for the week he hit .556 with a slugging percentage of .889 and an on-base percentage of .733.
VCU has started the season 1-5 with three-game series at UNC Wilmington and Elon.
The Rams defeated VMI 11-2 the last time the two teams met, on May 1, 2019 in Lexington.
