LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI men's soccer team opens the 2021 Southern Conference Tournament Monday evening as the #7 seed, traveling to #6 Wofford College for a 7 p.m. first-round contest.

The VMI/Wofford winner will move on to play #3 Furman on Friday in a game that will be hosted by #2 Mercer University at 6 p.m.

Wofford defeated VMI 8-1 in the SoCon season opener in Spartanburg. Nathan Lam scored for VMI on an assist from Cole Mooney.

The same two teams played a thrilling game to close out the 2021 Spring season in Lexington, with the Terriers surviving with a 3-2 double overtime win. Leo White had the first goal of the game for the Keydets.
