Broden Schull will be honored in a pre-game ceremony Saturday as the VMI men's soccer team hosts UNC-Asheville at 3 p.m. on Senior Day in a non-conference game.

Schull recently broke the school record for career saves, and now has over 400 in his four seasons. He has led all of Division I soccer in saves and saves per game in 2018, 2019, the 2021 spring season, and this fall. Schull earned a spot on the Southern Conference All-Rookie Team in 2018 and will finish third in conference history for saves in a career. A two-time captain, he has played every minute of every game between the posts the last three seasons as a Keydet.
Despite a first-half goal from junior midfielder
Nathan Lam to tie the contest, Robert Morris defeated VMI 4-1 Wednesday afternoon in non-conference play. The game was tied until the 66:40 mark, when RMU scored three late goals for the win.
The two teams each have 10 wins in the all-time series. The Bulldogs defeated VMI 2-1 in 2019; with Cooper Duplantis scoring for VMI.
UNC-Asheville dropped a match at home to Big South leader Campbell University 5-1 on Wednesday. The Bulldogs are 1-11 overall and 0-6 in conference action.
VMI (1-14) has just one regular-season match left on the schedule, at home next Saturday against Furman University at 3:30 p.m. in Southern Conference play.
