LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI men's soccer team makes one of its shortest road trips of the season Tuesday evening, traveling to Lynchburg to face Liberty University in non-conference play from Osbourne Stadium at 6 p.m.

VMI fell 5-0 at Mercer University Saturday, but senior goalie
Broden Schull made eight saves to tie the program record for career stops. Schull now has 384 career saves, tying the school record set by Brian Sowell (2007-10).
Junior midfielder
Nathan Lam leads the Keydets with three goals this season and is tied for ninth overall in the conference in goals per game.
AJ Dale and
Jakub Mihulka also have scored this season while
Warner Collier and
Gavin Miller each have assists.
Liberty is coming off a 2-0 loss to Jacksonville Friday in an ASUN match. After a scoreless first half, the Dolphins scored twice in the second half to hand the Flames their first home defeat of the season. The Flames are 5-5 on the year and 2-2 in conference play. Noah Holmes leads LU with four goals and one assist on the season.
VMI (1-11/0-4) is back in Southern Conference action Saturday, hosting ETSU at 3 p.m. on Patchin Field.
