VMI junior second baseman Callen Nuccio broke out of a minor slump with an impressive week. In four contests last week, he hit .364 (4-11) with three walks for a .533 on-base percentage, a double and two stolen bases.

Tuesday's game is a rematch of a Feb. 25 game in Harrisonburg. The Dukes broke open a tie game with runs in the seventh and eighth innings to defeat VMI 4-2. Red-shirt sophomore Will Knight had three hits for the Keydets. Freshman lefty Trey

Morgan
was the tough luck loser despite tossing five strong innings of relief, allowing just two hits, two walks and two earned runs with three strikeouts. Four Keydet pitchers held JMU to just five hits on the afternoon.

JMU leads the all-time series 52-15.

The Keydets face a powerful UNC squad that has been ranked in the top 25 this season by various outlets. The two teams have only met three times before, a three-game set in Chapel Hill in the 2009 season, all Tar Heel victories.
