VMI Water Polo goes Unbeaten at W&J Invite
WASHINGTON, Pa. – The VMI women's water polo team won a pair of matches Sunday to go 4-0 this weekend at the Washington & Jefferson College Invitational.
The Keydets opened with a 12-9 win over McKendree University (Ill.).
Emma Noble posted three goals and three assists and
Genevieve Petrassi also had a hat trick.
Emma Perez and
McKenna Imset each had two goals and
Zoe Salafatinos contributed a goal and two assists.
Catherine Ahumada also scored, and Issi French made 12 saves.
Imset delivered six goals and three assists in a 17-8 victory over Gannon University (Pa.). Petrassi capped her big day with five goals and an assist, while Perez tallied two goals, two assists and two steals. Noble had a goal and two assists and Salafatinos,
Paris Alvarado and Ahumada also scored. French made seven stops.
VMI (7-1) returns to Pennsylvania next Friday and Saturday for four matches at the Grove City College Invitational.
