Imset Nets 10 Goals as VMI Water Polo Splits Two games
ERIE, Pa. – Red-shirt sophomore
McKenna Imset scored 10 goals Sunday as the VMI women's water polo team splits a pair of matches at the Mercyhurst Laker Invitational.
VMI defeated Gannon University 14-12 to open the day as Imset found the back of the net five times.
Sydney Shettleroe had three scores,
Makenna Moore delivered a goal, three assists and three steals and
Emma Noble had four assists.
Emma Perez tallied two goals and two assists and
Genevieve Petrassi and
Maddie Berry also scored. Isabella French and
Bridget Hughes combined to make 10 saves in net.
Imset again scored five goals in a 12-10 loss to Mercyhurst. Moore and Noble each had a goal and three assists and Petrassi scored twice.
Kiara Anguiano also scored and Hughes made seven saves.
VMI (3-1) returns to action next weekend with four matches at the Washington & Jefferson Invite.
