LEXINGTON, Va. - VMI Basketball had added a road game against George Mason to its 2020-21 basketball schedule.
 
The Keydets will travel to Fairfax Monday, December 21 to take on the Patriots at Eaglebank Arena. Tip-off will be at 1 p.m.
 
The contest will mark the first time since the 2009-10 season that VMI has played George Mason in basketball. In the last meeting between the teams, VMI fell 89-86 in Fairfax on December 22, 2009.
This will be only the third time the teams have met in basketball. VMI won the initial meeting in Lexington, 95-81 on January 24, 1980 at the famed "Pit".
 
The game will also be the only scheduled Atlantic 10 foe for the Keydets this year.
