VMI Travels North to Sacred Heart Sunday

LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI wrestling team heads to Fairfield, Conn. to face Sacred Heart University Sunday at 2 p.m. in a non-conference dual match.

VMI scratched out a 20-19 victory over SHU a year ago as part of a tri-match at Davidson College on December 1. Neal Richards (174) and Dom Gallo (141) won by major decisions and Chris Beck earned a win at 197 to give head coach Jim Gibson his first career victory at the school.

The Keydets will be busy next weekend, making the short journey to square off with the University of Virginia Saturday at 1 p.m. before returning home for a Southern Conference match Sunday at noon against the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
