CHARLOTTE, N.C. - VMI right-hander Reed Garrett has been named the Big South Choice Hotels Pitcher of the Week, according to information released by the conference Monday. 

Garrett adds Big South honors to his Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week plaudits earned earlier Monday, as well as Perfect Game Player of the Day laurels earned Saturday. He comes off of Friday's no-hitter against Lafayette, the first no-hitter of the Division I season, when he struck out 13 and allowed only one baserunner. It is the second time in his career he has earned Big South weekly honors. 

VMI baseball is back in action Tuesday, facing #1 Virginia in Charlottesville at 3 p.m.
