The Series
This weekend's game will be the 18th meeting all-time between VMI and Siena on the lacrosse field. It is the third-most games in a series for the Keydets against Division I opponents.

VMI holds control of the series by a narrow 9-8 margin, aided by winning eight straight contests between 1994 and 2003. The Saints have had the better of the luck in Loudonville, where VMI is 3-4 against Siena. On Saturday, VMI will be looking to snap a four-game skid to the Saints, including a heartbreaking 12-11 loss in Lexington last season.

Playing at SIena Turf Field in 2008, the Keydets made program history, not only qualifying for the MAAC tournament, but upsetting Providence College 9-8 in overtime in the first round, pitting the Keydets against eventual MAAC Champion Canisius College in the finals.

All in a Family
Saturday's game will have several family connections. VMI assistant coach Curtis Jaques' older sister, Ali, is the head women's basketball coach at Siena. Ali's assistant coach, Jack Castleberry, is a 2007 graduate of the Institute, and is Curtis' Brother Rat (VMI classmates).
