VMI Water Polo Concludes Inaugural Season in Final MAAC Weekend

VILLANOVA, Pa. – The first-ever season of women's water polo at VMI came to a conclusion this past weekend as the Keydets played their last trio of Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference games, hosted by Villanova University on Saturday and Sunday.

In the first game on Saturday, the Keydets fell to Wagner College 16-1. During day two action at the Villanova Swim Complex, VMI fell to Iona College 22-7 and host Villanova 10-3.

For the weekend, freshman utility Mackenzie Perkins ripped off five goals, including three against the Wildcats. Perkins accounted for VMI's lone goal against Wagner while also grabbing a sprint against Iona.
