VILLANOVA,
Pa. – The first-ever season of women's water polo at VMI came to a conclusion
this past weekend as the Keydets played their last trio of Metro Atlantic
Athletic Conference games, hosted by Villanova University on Saturday and
Sunday.
In the
first game on Saturday, the Keydets fell to Wagner College 16-1. During day two
action at the Villanova Swim Complex, VMI fell to Iona College 22-7 and host
Villanova 10-3.
For the
weekend, freshman utility Mackenzie Perkins ripped off five goals, including
three against the Wildcats. Perkins accounted for VMI's lone goal against
Wagner while also grabbing a sprint against Iona.
Molly
Andoe tallied four goals on the weekend for VMI, all coming against the Gaels
of Iona. She struck twice in the first quarter and posted another pair in the
third. Caroline Pryor and Elise Reed each scored once against Villanova.

the next week, the MAAC office will be releasing its All-Conference teams and
