WASHINGTON, D.C. - The VMI men's swimming and diving team won eight events, three of which involved Connor McMahon, and went on to defeat Howard 172-115 in dual meet action Saturday in Washington, D.C.

McMahon captured victory in both the 50 and 100 free, clocking in at 22.16 and 49.75 seconds respectively. He then anchored VMI's (2-4) winning 200 medley relay, which also included Clarke Ruska, Stephen Lloyd and Jared Redding and timed in at 1:42.23.

Redding, meanwhile, returned later on to capture a win in the 100 fly. The freshman touched the wall in 55.23 seconds to take that title.
