Nachion Moore

Nachion Moore, a former Big South player, will enter his second season as the Keydets’ volunteer assistant in 2012.

Moore was a four-year veteran of the Big South ranks as a utility infielder and catcher. He played under two different coaching staffs at Radford, and was an active member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee. He also was nominated for the NCAA Leadership Conference during his time as a Highlander, which concluded the 2009 season. Moore graduated from Radford in May of 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine.

The newest addition to the Keydet staff, Moore was employed in the business world at Lewis-Gale Hospital in Salem, Va., acting as an assistant to a Physical Therapist. He has also worked in a similar position in Blacksburg, Va., during his undergraduate career.

Ikenberry on Moore: "Nachion has done a great job transitioning to the VMI environment. He is a very good teacher, and has done a great job with our outfielders and baserunners."
