Rachel Robinson

Rachel Robinson enters her first year as an assistant athletic academic advisor.
 
She comes to the Institute after serving the past two years as an emergency medical technician at Carilion Clinic Patient Transportation in Lexington. In this role, she provided emergency treatment to patients and drove and operated ambulances and mastered the use of all emergency equipment onboard.
 
While an EMT, she also served as a tutor at VMI specializing in chemistry, biology and Spanish. She met with cadets weekly to help foster their understanding of course materials and assisted in their development of transferable learning and study skills.
 
From 2018-19, she worked as a supplemental instructor in organic chemistry at the Wingate University Academic Resource Center. She developed lesson plans and delivered lecture reviews to students and participated in weekly meetings and feedback sessions with university faculty.
 
Robinson graduated from Wingate in May of 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in Spanish.  She also graduated magna cum laude in Latin Honors as well as University Honors. She was also a member of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society
