VMI Athletics

Jack Rose was named as an assistant coach for the VMI men's soccer program in mid-February 2023. He served as the graduate assistant and recruiting coordinator at Central Methodist University (Mo.) the previous two seasons.

Rose, a native of Redcar, United Kingdom, helped head coach Alex Nichols achieve a record of 38-2-5 over two seasons at Central Methodist. The Eagles, two-time NAIA National Champions, were named the United Soccer Coaches Regional Staff of the Year in both 2021 & 2022.

Prior to his role at CMU, Rose was the assistant coach at Coffeyville Community College, where he helped lead the Red Ravens to a Jayhawk Eastern Conference Championship in 2020-21. He was also an assistant coach for Kaw Valley FC of the USL 2 in the Summer of 2021 and 2022.

Prior to coaching, Rose spent two seasons at Eastern Oregon University where he captained the Mountaineers to their first NAIA National Tournament appearance in program history as a senior. He was also named to the Cascade Collegiate Conference Honorable Mention Team in 2018, starting in 19 matches. In his native United Kingdom, Rose played academy soccer for Hartlepool United & York City.
