Cheyenne Stewart joined VMI Sports Medicine in August 2026 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. She works primarily with the football, swimming & diving, and water polo programs.

Originally from Victoria, Texas, Stewart earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Health Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2024. She continued her education at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where she earned her Masters degree in Athletic Training in May 2026.

While at Texas Tech, Stewart gained experience through clinical rotations with Lubbock Cooper High School, Coronado High School, and Lubbock Sports Rehabilitation, working with high school athletes and orthopedic patients in a variety of sports medicine settings. During the summer and fall of 2025, she completed her athletic training immersion with Rice Football, where she assisted with the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of Division I student-athletes. She concluded her graduate education with Texas Tech Track & Field during the Spring 2026 semester, helping support the Red Raiders during their 2026 Big 12 Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

As an undergraduate at UTSA, Stewart completed her athletic training clinical experience with the Roadrunners softball program during the 2023–24 academic year. She also served as an athletic training intern at the Arizona Volleyball Festival, providing medical coverage for one of the nation's largest youth volleyball tournaments.

Stewart is a Board of Certification (BOC) Certified Athletic Trainer and holds certifications in CPR/AED, First Aid, and Youth Mental Health First Aid. She has also completed continuing education in Lower Extremity Dry Needling through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT). She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), the Southwest Athletic Trainers' Association (SWATA), and the Texas State Athletic Trainers' Association (TSATA).
