High School: Earned six letters for Mike Newbern at Norfolk Collegiate School … amassed 186 wins, ranking him 12^th all-time in Virginia … won the Virginia state title in 2011 while finishing as a runner-up in 2012 … placed at the state tournament four times … named All-American in 2011 for National Prep schools … named Most Outstanding Wrestler for his high school in both 2011 and 2012 … earned most Outstanding Wrestler awards at several tournaments, including the 2012 MBM Franklin Duals and the 2012 Currituck Duals … earned J.R.
