High School: Won three letters as a wrestler at Peru High School in Peru, Ind. … reached the state semifinals on three occasions … qualified for the state tournament after winning the conference title … also won the sectional and regional championships … a multi-sport athlete, was a four-year letterwinner on the football team as a running back and linebacker … two-time all-state selection as a running back and earned all-conference accolades as a linebacker … member of the track team as well, competing in the 100 and 200 meter events … won the county title … earned an academic honors diploma with an “A” GPA … was a regional champion in the 2010 Academic Bowl.
