team with 22 wins on the season, and was a perfect 12-0 in dual matches as well
as 4-0 in SoCon bouts … Began season with a 16-match win streak that lasted
just over two months … Sixteen of his 22 matches on the year were won by
more than five points … Won the Wilkes Open with a
perfect 5-0 record … Placed third at the
All-Academy Championships, and well as the SoCon Championships … Earned three
major decisions over Corey Waite of Binghamton (12/28), Chase Godfrey of
Millersville (1/22), and Charlie Wolff of Davidson (3/6) … Compiled two pins at
the All-Academy Championships over Paul Hahn-Rauch of The Coast Guard Academy
and Judd Connell of the Merchant Marine Academy ... Has never lost a Southern Conference dual
match (10-0) in his career... Is 19-1 with five pins in his career at duals in
The Thunderdome.
2008-09:
Won the Southern Conference Heavyweight title for the second straight season
... Was VMI's first repeat champion since Adam Britt won three consecutive
titles from 2001-03 ... Placed second at the All-Academy Championships, losing
in overtime to Army's Mike Sprigg in the Championship, and the
"Shorty" Hitchcock Memorial Classic ... Led the team with five pins
despite not competing until second semester ... Was undefeated in SoCon duals
for the second straight season ... Went 6-2 in dual matches, including 4-0 with
two pins in home duals ... Had a string of six straight wins at midseason and
won nine of 10 matches at one point.
2007-08:
Won the Southern Conference Heavyweight title as a freshman ... Was VMI's first
Conference Champion at Heavyweight in nine seasons ... Also won a match against
Oregon's Charlie Alexander (3-0) at the NCAA Championships before losing to
eventual champion Dustin Fox of Northwestern ... Dropped a 1-0 decision to
Cleveland State's Rashard Goff at the NCAA's ... .Won four of his nine matches
on the season via pin ... Did not join the team until after the football season
and won his first match, pinning Gardner-Webb's Evan Rhodes in 4:04 ... Went
4-1 in duals and 2-0 in SoCon matches ... In his first four dual matches, had
three pins and a major decision ... Also pinned his first opponent at the SoCon
Championships.

School: Virginia State AAA Champion at heavyweight
as a senior, going 46-0 with 28 pins to bring his three-year career record to
105-9 ... As a junior, was runner-up in the AAA Championships at 285 lbs., when
he went 28-3 ... Placed third in States as a sophomore ... School record-holder
