Biography

2012-13: Went 4-11 in his sophomore campaign at 184 pounds … won two of his first three matches as a Keydet, one by major decision and the second by fall … won back-to-back dual matches by decision against Duke and Gardner-Webb.

2011-12: Won four matches in his freshman season with the Keydets at 165 pounds … picked up victories in his first two matches, both decisions coming at the Rat Rumble Open and were his first two matches … claimed second place at the Rumble. 

High School: Lettered three years in wrestling at Rocky Mount High School ...Three-time state qualifier ... Competed internationally at tournament in Holland ... Lettered four seasons as a running back on the football team, and competed in the 100, 200, 4x100-meter dash as well as the long jump and triple jump on the track team.

Personal: Son of Georgette Mattox ... Civil engineering major.
