2017-18: Finished the season with a  2-13 record including a 2-6 mark in dual bouts and 2-2 record in SoCon matches … went 0-7 in tournament bouts during the year … earned a 9-4 decision over Jackson Price of Gardner-Webb for his first SoCon win of the season … picked up his second win by topping Will Cooley of Davidson College by an 11-3 major decision at home on Jan. 13

2016-17: Earned a 5-3 overall record for the year, all in tournament bouts ... registered three pins and one major decision out of his five wins ... placed second at the Casperson Classic ... went 3-2 at the Southeast Open in Roanoke before falling to Army West Point's Gavin Berkley by a fall ... at the Casperson Classic, pinned James Madison's Ronnie Spera in 1:25 and majored Ferrum's Shamont Golden by a 13-4 tally ... went 0-2 at the Keystone Classic in November.

2015-16: Did not compete.

2014-15: Wrestling at both 184 and 197 pounds, earned a 4-9 overall record for the season, including a 1-3 dual record and 3-4 mark in tournament action … tallied two victories by fall and one major decision on the year ... registered four dual points for the season … placed fifth at the Washington & Lee Invitational, earning a victory by fall in 1:31 over Southern Virginia's Caleb West and another pin over St. Andrews' Argie Burnette in 2:29 … picked up a 10-2 major decision over Anderson's Will Diamond at the Cavalier Duals to open the season … earned a pin in 2:26 over Appalachian State's Eli Farmer at the Wolfpack Open.

High School: Four-year letterwinner at Powhatan High School for coach Jonathan Tanaka … won the 2013 Virginia State Championship at the AA level, becoming the first state champion from his high school … took third at the state meet in 2014 at the 4A level.

Personal: Full name is Jacob Daniel Tomlinson … prefers to go by Jake … son of Dan and Amy Tomlinson … has two brothers, Sam and Nathan … plans to major in computer and information science.
