2017-18: Named SoCon Wrestler of the Week on Jan. 10 after placing third at the Franklin and Marshall Open … led the team in overall wins (17), dual wins (7), SoCon victories (4) and tournament bout wins (10) … also led the team in tech falls with two for the year and seven pins throughout the season … finished first on the team in dual points with 33 for the year … went 17-15 overall, including a 7-4 dual record and 4-1 mark in SoCon bouts … earned his first SoCon dual win of the year with a 12-4 major decision over Joshua Walker of Gardner-Webb on Dec. 8 … went 4-1 at the Franklin and Marshall Open including a 6-3 decision over Phillip Spadaform of Maryland in the third-fourth place match … registered the fastest pin of the season for the team as he topped Hunter Costa of Davidson in just 18 seconds on Jan. 13 … earned consecutive pins over Nate Newberry of Bloomsburg on Jan. 21 before topping Michael Mewhorter of The Citadel in 5:54 on Jan. 25 … the pin over Mewhorter helped VMI to a 24-21 victory, the first time in 11 years the Keydets defeated the rival Bulldogs … achieved a 20-5 tech fall over Appalachian State’s Thomas Flitz in a SoCon dual on Jan. 31.

2016-17: Earned a 1-4 overall record at 165 pounds during the year, going 0-2 in dual bouts and 0-1 in SoCon duals ... achieved a fall in 2:38 over Rutgers' Brett Donner at the Lock Haven Classic on Dec. 29 ... battled to a close 12-10 decision loss to Buffalo's Tyler Rill at the same event ... named one of 13 Foxtrot Company corporals ... Dean's List recipient ... named to the Cadet-Athlete Honors Society.

2015-16: Earned a 3-2 overall record for the year, all coming from tournament competition … tied for first on the team with two technical falls for the year … achieved a sixth-place finish at the Hokie Open to start the year … defeated Virginia Tech club wrestler Andy Hutzel by a 16-1 tech fall at the Hokie Open … achieved an 18-1 tech fall over Appalachian State's Michael Elliott at the Hokie Open … also topped unattached Greg Hilliard by a 7-2 decision at the event.

High School: Four-year letterwinner under coach Mike Faus at New Kent HS in New Kent, Va. … competed at 113, 126, 145 and 152 pounds … team captain as a junior and senior … placed three times at state and was a four-time regional champion … also wrestled for the Virginia Team Predator club team … placed fifth at the NHSCA Senior Nationals to earn All-America honors … Interstate 64 Wrestling Tournament champion I 2014 … Tribal Tech Duals wrestling champ in 2014 … Honor Roll student and member of the National Beta Society.

Personal: Parents are Dean and Christina Hohman … has two younger sisters and one younger brother … plans to major in mechanical engineering.
