2019-20: Had his senior season cut short due to injury … had four wins at 141 pounds, including a major decision victory … picked up 27 career wins in his career.

2018-19: Wound up the year with an 11-16 record, with a 7-8 mark in duals and 3-3 in conference matches … had one win by major decision, one by technical fall and one by pin … won four of five matches in early December, including a major decision against his opponent from Sacred Heart … also had wins over foes from Davidson, Gardner-Webb and The Citadel (tech fall).    

2017-18: Competed in the latter half of the season at 141 pounds … went 1-3 overall in January all in dual action, including a 5-4 decision over Dustin Runzo of Davidson College on Jan. 13 in his first grapple of the year … lost by a close 3-1 decision to Alex Harnsberger of Sacred Heart on Jan. 21 in Bloomsburg, Pa. … fell by a 4-1 decision to Douglas Gudenburr of The Citadel on Jan. 25 in his final wrestling action of the season.

2016-17: Redshirt season.

2015-16: Named to the Southern Conference All-Freshman team for his accomplishments during the year … earned an 11-14 overall record for the year, including a 3-5 dual record and 8-9 mark in tournament competition … went 2-2 in Southern Conference action … totaled 10 dual points for the season … earned two major decisions and one technical fall … came in first place at the W&L Invite at 133 pounds … placed third at the All-Academy Championships at VMI’s Cameron Hall … registered 10 of VMI’s 15 victories in the 133-pound class for the year … achieved four straight bout victories to open the month of January, including major decisions over Hofstra’s Marcus Begay (9-0) in a dual and Gettysburg’s Jake Brecken (14-1) at the W&L Invite … defeated W&L’s Zach Bylykbashi by a 5-3 decision to earn the title at 133 pounds … after falling to No. 18 Josh Martinez of Air Force to open the All-Academy tournament, won two straight matches en route to third-place honors, including an 18-2 tech fall over Norwich’s Chase Jefferys and a 7-2 decision over Army’s Austin Harry … at the SoCon tournament, earned a 5-4 decision over The Citadel’s Caleb Smith.

High School: Four-year letterwinner at High Point Regional HS in Wantage, N.J. … competed at 106, 120 and 126 pounds … earned over 100 wins during his career … two-time district champion and two-time state qualifier … placed fourth at the Cheesehead Nationals.

Personal: Parents are Dominick and Rita Gallo … has two older brothers, Vinnie and Nick … Vinnie wrestled at VMI from 2008-11 … plans to major in psychology.
