2016-17: Earned a 22-13 overall record for the year, including a 7-6 dual record and 3-3 SoCon mark ... tied for first on the team with 15 wins in tournament bouts for the season ... his 22 wins for the year ranked second most on the team as well as his seven dual victories ... tied for second on the team with three SoCon wins ... led the Keydets in major decision victories with six ... tied for second on the team with two tech falls and finished second in dual points with 33 for the year ... came in second at the All-Academy Championships on Jan. 29, falling to Army West Point's Trey Chalifoux by a 10-6 decision in the title bout ... came in third at the Lock Haven Classic on Dec. 29 after placing fifth at both the Southeast Open (Nov. 6) and the Keystone Classic (Nov. 20) ... tallied a season-best five straight wins from Nov. 20 to Dec. 29 ... faced five ranked opponents during the year ... lost by a close 2-1 decision at home to Pitt's No. 25 LJ Bentley on Jan. 21 ... battled No. 20 Vito Pasone of Appalachian State but fell by a close 9-7 decision on Feb. 8.

2015-16: Earned a 20-6 overall record for the year, including an 11-2 dual record and 9-4 mark in tournament competition … went 5-2 in Southern Conference action … his 20 wins ranked second most on the team, while placing first in both dual wins (11) and SoCon wins (5) … led the team with 38 dual points, mostly in part by a team-best seven major decision victories while also logging one tech fall and one pin for the year … season was highlighted by his first-place finish at the All-Academy Championships hosted by VMI on Jan. 30, earning SoCon Wrestler of the Week honors … came in third place at the SoCon Championships … placed sixth at the Keystone Classic in Philadelphia … only 125-pounder to represent VMI all season … earned 11 straight victories from Dec. 10 to Feb. 7, a stretch that included eight dual wins and three All-Academy tournament bout victories … went 3-1 at the SoCon Championships ... Dean's List recipient for fall semester.

2014-15: At 125 pounds, earned a 17-13 overall record for the season, including a 6-7 dual record and 3-6 mark in SoCon bouts … finished 11-5 in tournament play … won a team-high eight matches by fall en route to 36 dual points for the year, tied for second most on the team with Shabaka Johns … named SoCon Wrestler of the Week after placing first among freshmen and sophomores at the Hokie Open after winning six straight matches, including a defeat over Virginia Tech's Brandon Olsen by fall in 2:12 … placed fifth at the Wolfpack Open after going 4-1, including two pins, and a single-overtime loss to NC State's Brendan Calas by a 2-0 score … came in fourth at the All-Academy Championships, earning wins over Coast Guard's Domenick Summers and Army's Sean Badua but falling to Air Force's Martin Martinez and Navy's Cam Timok.

2013-14: Went 8-18 overall last season at 125 pounds as a rookie … of his eight wins, five were by fall … held a 5-14 record in dual matches, amassing 30 team points … held a winning streak of three straight dual wins, while winning four matches over a five match spread … competed at the SoCon Championships in Buies Creek, N.C.

High School: Wrestled for one season under Jack Hartcourt  and three seasons under Chris Barnhart  at Ocean Lakes High School in Virginia Beach, Va. … tallied an overall record of 168-28, a school record for career wins … won the Coach's Award and qualified for states in 2009-10 with a 31-14 record … won the AAA State Championship in 2012 and qualified for the state tournament all four years, placing in three trips, becoming the first from his high school to accomplish both feats … qualified for the East Regional tournament 2010-13, winning the region in 2012, runner-up in 2011 and finishing third in 2010 and 2013 … placed at the Beach District tournament on three occasions … won the school's Nevin Carr Outstanding Wrestler Award in 2011 … served as a team captain for three years … also competed for the Ocean Lakes Wrestling Club … was a four-year honor student, won the Dedicated Dolphin Award and was a two-year member of the African-American Male Mentorship Program.

Personal: Full name is Dalton Philip Henderson … son of Wanda and Daniel Henderson … has one older brother, Daniel P. Henderson II … plans to major in international studies while minoring in philosophy.
