High School: Four-year letterwinner at Parry McCluer HS in Buena Vista, Va. … competed at both 170 and 182 pounds … All-State recipient … went 30-6 as a senior and had over 100 wins over the four seasons … also played football and track … as a running back and middle linebacker in football, earned All-Region honors and had over 400 tackles over his career.

Personal: Parents are Michael and Juli Gibson … father played rugby at Longwood University … plans to major in psychology.
