2007-08: Breakout junior season was highlighted by a runner-up finish at the Big South Championships, as her school record time of 11:08.59 was good for second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase...also finished fifth in the 5,000-meters at the BSC Championships, clocking in with the second-best time in VMI history as her 18:06.79 ranked only behind Hannah Granger's effort in that same race...placed third in the steeplechase at Coastal Carolina's Shamrock Invitational...placed sixth in the 5,000-meters at the UVA meet in April...also participated in Cross Country during the fall campaign.

2006-07: Second place finish in the mile at 2007 VMI Indoor Winter Relays (5:44.17) ... took third at the Auburn Sprintime Invite in the steeplechase ... fifth place in the steeplechase at the Military Championships ... All-Conference (third place) performance in the steeplechase (11:42.68) ... was one of VMI’s top three finishers in five of the six XC events this season ... best finish came at 2007 Big South Cross Country Championships where she finished 29th overall.

2005-06: Registered the conference’s seventh-best time in the 3,000m steeplechase (11:47.75) ... set school record in the 5,000m (18:41.58) to score for the Keydets at the Big South Indoor Championships ... scored in the 3,000m steeplechase at the Big South Outdoor Championships, while also finishing 11th in the 1,500m ... finished 10th at the 2005 Big South Cross Country Championships for VMI ... first Keydet freshman to recieve All-Conference in cross country.

High School/Personal: Lettered four years in cross country and indoor/outdoor track at Western Albermarle ... All-State honors in all three sports ... Named Women in Sports Athlete of the Year ... team was state champion in cross country (three years) and indoor track (three years) ... full name is Kelsey Leigh Stafford.
