Heather Faasse enters her second season as an assistant coach for the VMI women's soccer program following her hire in June of 2024.
During her first season at the Institute, she helped the Keydets to six wins on the year - their most victories in six years. She played an instrumental role in coaching Riley Boucher to nine goals for the season, which tied for fifth most in program history for a single season.Â

Faasse has an extensive soccer coaching background, most recently in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she helped coach Chattanooga FC and the varsity squad at Girls Preparatory School.

From May 2018 to January 2023, she served as the head women's soccer coach at Norwich University in Vermont where she oversaw all aspects of the program including practice preparation, travel, scheduling and many other responsibilities. She held a variety of other roles at Norwich over her five years at the school, including as an adjunct professor in the School of Business, an athletics academic advisor and a course developer from 2021-23.

The year prior in 2017, Faasse was the assistant women's soccer coach and interim head women's lacrosse coach at Norwich.

Prior to her time at Norwich, she served as the middle school girls soccer and lacrosse coach at Girls Preparatory School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, from 2015-17. Along with her work at the Girls Preparatory School, Faasse was a co-founder of the Lookout Mountain Football Club in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, where she trained and mentored primary school student-athletes.

A collegiate student-athlete herself, Faasse attended Colby-Sawyer College in New London, New Hampshire, where she played in 86 career games and helped the team to consecutive North Atlantic Conference championships in 2013 and 2014 and NCAA DIII tournament qualification. She also ran track for the Chargers and was an active participant with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

She was named her team's Most Valuable Player while earning placement on the NAC All-Tournament Team in 2014. Faasse later played semi-pro soccer for Chattanooga FC.

Since January of 2023, she has served as the head women's lacrosse coach at Tennessee Wesleyan University (NAIA). Her first season as head coach in 2023 saw the team finish with four wins, the most wins since the 2019 season. The team qualified for the conference tournament for the first time since 2019 and won a conference tournament game for the first time since the 2019 season.

Faasse graduated with honors from Colby-Sawyer College with a bachelor's degree in biology in 2015. She later graduated with her master's degree in leadership in 2021 from Norwich and is currently working on a doctorate degree in organizational leadership with a concentration in student services from the University of the Cumberlands based in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
