Daniel Saucedo

Daniel Saucedo enters his first season as an assistant coach for the VMI women’s soccer program.
 
He comes to the Institute from the University of North Georgia where he served as a graduate assistant on the women’s soccer team while studying for his master’s degree. During his time at UNG, he organized and coordinated practice sessions, monitored the study hall to improve academic success and analyzed and broke down game footage for practice and game preparations.
 
Saucedo also worked with the goalkeepers, was responsible for collecting hear rate monitor data and collaborated with fellow coaches to develop a high-quality recruitment program.
 
Prior to North Georgia, Saucedo served as an assistant men’s soccer coach at Georgia Southwestern University in Americus, Georgia for the 2016 and 2017 seasons. During this time ensured proper maintenance of the pitch and training facilities, monitored classroom attendance and aided the organization of practice sessions and game reports. On top of analyzing game footage, he also designed the team’s year-round performance program and assisted with goalkeeper training.
 
From 2012-16, Saucedo served as a select coach and academy director of the Athens United Soccer Club in Athens, Georgia, where he designed policies and guidelines toward enhancing youth soccer players and organized practice sessions on a weekly basis. He also planned and supervised summer camp activities.
 
He also served as an assistant varsity coach at nearby Clarke Central High School in Athens, Georgia, from 2015-16.
 
He is NCAA DII Recruiting certified, earned his advanced national diploma from the United Soccer Coaches, and has a U.S. Soccer Federation “D” license. He also earned a Goalkeeping Level 1 and Level 2 diploma from the United Soccer Coaches.

Saucedo played three years of collegiate soccer at Emmanuel College (Frankin Springs, Ga.) from 2010-12.
 
Saucedo earned a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology from Emmanuel College in May of 2012. He went on to earn a Master of Science degree in kinesiology from North Georgia this past May.
