2016-17: One of the best throwers in school history...wrapped his career with final season of outdoor eligibility...qualified to the IC4A meet in the hammer and discus...finished in the top-20 in both, including 10th in the discus...won the hammer at the Liberty Twilight meet with a seasonal best effort...won the discus at South Carolina.
2015-16: Had one of the best seasons for a VMI thrower in recent memory...was named SoCon Athlete of the Meet after winning the hammer, finishing second in the discus and placing third in the shot outdoors...also named SoCon Most Outstanding Field Performer...was the first VMI field event athlete to win the top conference honor since Garrett Brickner in 2005...set a new personal best in the discus to earn his runner-up finish (47.49 M/155'10")...also had an outdoor seasonal best in the shot (16.21/53'2 1/4")...posted a personal best in the hammer to finish second at the Liberty Twilight (55.45 M/181'11") to move into sixth in program history...finished the year ranked in the top eight in the hammer, discus and shot in program annals...stands as the only thrower in VMI history to accomplish that feat...indoors, won the weight throw with a personal best effort (19.21 M/63'0 1/4")...was also second in the shot...earned Most Outstanding Field Performer honors at the SoCon meet for his efforts...qualified for the IC4A Championships in both events...won the weight and shot at HPU Team Challenge...third in both events at YSU National Invite...fourth in the weight throw at the Virginia Tech Invite.
2014-15: Returned from a year absence to win the SoCon title indoors in the shot put...his 16.26 meter (53'4 1/4") heave was the best by a Keydet since 1995 and was the sixth best in school history...also finished fourth in the weight throw at that meet to give him 15 total points...finished second in both the weight and the shot at the UCS Invite...set a personal best in the weight throw (16.64 meters/54'7") to finish fourth at the YSU Invite...qualified to the IC4A meet in the shot put, both indoors and out...finished 16th indoors and 22nd outdoors...finished sixth in the hammer at the SoCon outdoor meet with a personal best effort (48.07 M/157'8"), but did not record a mark in the shot put...was 16th in the discus as well...best outdoor shot put effort came at the Charlotte Invite (15.38 M/50'5 1/2").
2013-14: Did not compete.
2012-13: Had VMI's top performances in the discus, hammer and weight throws...during the outdoor season, finished in the top-12 at the conference outdoor meet in the discus (ninth), shot put (sixth) and hammer (12th)...had seasonal bests in both the hammer (39.80 M/130'7") and shot (15.01 M/49'3") at that meet...posted his best discus mark at the RU Invitational to close out his freshman season (43.74 M/143'6"), where he finished fourth...seventh in the discus at the UNF Invite (43.32 M/142'1")...indoors, was eighth in the shot put (14.45 M/47'5") and 10th in the weight (14.13 M/46'4") at the Big South Indoor Championships...threw the weight a seasonal best 15.30 M/50'2" at the Wake Forest Invitational.
High School/Personal: Finished seventh in the shot put at the USATF Youth Outdoor Nationals (2011)...also seventh at the 2011 AAU National Junior Olympics...broke a 23-year-old record at the Mason-Dixon Invitational...won the Kentucky 1A state title in the discus and finished second in the shot...Region 2A shot and discus champion...Personal bests: Shot put - 54'10 1/2”, discus - 152'7”.
