Griffin Kowal at TFRRS

2020: Began season with a fourth-place finish in the pole vault at the Keydet Invitational with a 4.45m…improved with a 4.50m pole vault and eighth-place finish at the VMI Indoor Classic…posted two first-place finishes with a 4.65m pole vault at both the VMI Team Challenge and the VMI Winter Relays…capped off a great season with another 4.65m pole vault at the SoCon Championships for a sixth-place finish.
 
2019: Finished in the top ten in the pole vault at several competitions throughout the year…placed third in the pole vault with a 4.50m at the Winter Relays 2019…improved jump to 4.60m at the Virginia Tech Challenge…posted a personal best 4.75m in the pole vault at the Gamecock Outdoor Invitational, good for third place.

2018: True freshman scored at both indoor and outdoor conference meets...season was highlighted by a fourth-place finish indoors, where he jumped a seasonal best of 4.70 M (15'5")...finished sixth at both ETSU and the VMI Team Challenge...was 17th at Bucknell with an outdoor seasonal best of 4.35 M/14'3 1/4"...placed seventh at the SoCon Outdoor Championships.

High School/Personal: Enters as the top pole vaulter from the state of Virginia, and in the top-10 all-time in the state in that event.
