2009-10: Continued to compete in every throwing event, for the second straight year...season was highlighted by an All-Big South Honor in the discus throw, as he finished third at the BSC Outdoor Championships (47.53 M/155'11")...qualified for the IC4A Championships in the weight throw (indoors) and the discus (outdoors)...scored in the hammer throw at the Big South Outdoor meet as well, finishing seventh...posted a personal best discus throw at the Liberty Twilight Qualifier (48.60 M/159'5") in finishing fourth...also had a career best effort in the javelin, with that coming at the Military Championships (47.05 M/154'4")...was also sixth in the hammer at that meet...finished ninth in the hammer at UVA's Lou Onesty Invitational, with a season best mark of 50.72 M (166'5")...was fifth in the weight throw at the indoor conference meet, with a seasonal best mark of 17.72 M...was 10th at the Doug Raymond Invitational and second at the Great Dane Classic, again in the weight throw.
2008-09: Took part in every throwing event during the 08-09 season...campaign was highlighted by winning the weight throw at the indoor conference meet, an event in which he also qualified for IC4A's with his 17.59 M toss...placed sixth in the hammer throw at the Duke Invitational, with a 50.01 toss...finished seventh in that event at the Big South Championships, with a near-seasonal best of 50.13 M...best effort in the hammer came at the Penn Relays, where he tossed the implement 50.14 M...Penn Relays also saw Lawson's best performance in the discus, a 46.94 M toss...also performed in the javelin, with a season-best performance of 45.71 M at April's UVA Invitational...participated in the shot put at several events, both indoor and outdoor, as well.
2007-08: Part of Keydets' triumvirate of freshman throwers...participated in the shot put, the weight/hammer throw and occasionally the javelin...posted season-best of 13.96 M in the shot put...2007-08 javelin best effort was 46.67, set at April's UVA meet where he posted three season-bests...hammer throw best was set at that same meet, with a sixth-place finish and a 52.13 effort...also set season-best in the discus at UVA with his 48.40 M effort...finished seventh in the weight throw at the Big South Indoor Championships, tossing the implement 15.55 M.
