2011-12: Significant relay contributor throughout the year...swam on two of the four fastest Keydet 400 free relay teams...individually, participated in the 100 and 200 freestyle events throughout the year.

2011 CCSA Championships: Finished 13th in 200 IM…placed 20th in 100 free…finished 16th in 200 free…swam in 200 free relay.

2010-11: Competed in several events throughout the year...helped provide depth in the freestyle events.

2010 CCSA Championship: Had personal best times in all three of his individual events, the 100 and 200 free and the 200 IM.

2009-10: Led off VMI’s fastest 800 free relay of the season, coming at the Yellow Jacket Invitational…Competed in all but one meet.

2009 CCSA Championships: Swam season-best times in the prelims of the 100 free (53.77), and the 200 free (1:55.60) and a career-best time in the 200 IM (2:14.58)…Also swam on the 800 free relay that placed fifth.

2008-09: Competed in all but two meets.

Personal: Son of John and Adrienne Schumacher…Three-year letterwinner on the swim team at Woodson…Also a three-year letterwinner on the lacrosse team…Won district championships in swimming and lacrosse…Brother, John, swam at Valparaiso…International Studies major.
