Biography
Team Captain...Has been a key member of the team the past three seasons...A great worker in practice and a tough competitor at meets...Will be one of the team’s top performers at the CCSA Championships.
2007-08: Competed in the first two events of the season...Turned in VMI’s fastest time in the 100-backstroke this season at home against Pfeiffer...Swam the leadoff leg of VMI’s fastest 400-medley relay of the year, doing so at the Thomas Murphy Invitational.
2007 NEC Championship: Placed second in the 200-backstroke...Finished fourth in the 200-IM, swimming a career-best 2:08.81 in the finals...Also finished fourth in the 100-backstroke...Swam the first leg of the 200-medley relay, helping the team to a third-place finish.
2006-07: Has missed only one event this season... Team’s top backstroker this season...Part of team’s top medley relay times this season...Won the 200-backstroke at the Yellow Jacket Invitational
2006 NEC Championship: Came in second in the 100 & 200-backstroke and third in the 200-IM with career-best times in the finals of each race...Swam on second-place 400-medley relay team.
2005 NEC Championship: Member of the 200-medley relay team that placed fourth...Placed fourth in the 100-backstroke and fifth in the 200-backstroke...Also finished eighth in the 500-freestyle, swimming a career-best in prelims.
Personal: Son of Jim and Janis Webb...First Class President...Swam varsity for four years at DeMatha Catholic...Team Captain as a senior of top-ranked team in Maryland...Led DeMatha to second place finish at Metro Championships...As a junior, led team to third place finish at Metro Championships, as team was ranked 10th in the nation...Competed in the National Catholic and WMPSSDL Championships...Also swam for the Annapolis Swim Club...Civil Engineering major.
