Kyle Friesenhahn was hired as the Head Diving Coach in June 2024.
Friesenhahn comes to the Institute after spending 10 years as the Head Diving Coach and Assistant Swimming Coach at Delta State University. Since 2013, Friesenhahn has coached 48 NCAA Division II National Qualifiers and was named NSISC Men’s Diving Coach of the Year six times, earning the feat the last three seasons. During his tenure, the Statesmen have earned eight conference titles and a second-place mark in the 2019 NCAA D-II National Championships.

Before Delta State, Friesenhahn led the Lindenwood University Diving program for four seasons. While with the Lions, Friesenhahn was a part of the NAIA and LAC Swimming & Diving Coaching Staff of the Year in 2010 after leading Lindenwood to a conference championship, his first of three titles. He was also dubbed LAC Championship Women’s Diving Coach of the Meet in 2012.
A graduate of Lindenwood, Friesenhahn earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Radio & Television in 2009 and later secured a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Sport Management in 2010.
