2012-13: Focused on the 200 and 500 free during his last regular season on Post...posted seasonal bests in both at the Virginia Tech Invite.

2012 CCSA Championships: Competed in three freestyle events (100, 200, 500), setting personal bests in all three.

2011-12: Competed in every meet during his junior season...posted 200 free PR’s against Pfeiffer and Limestone.

2011 CCSA Championships: Finished 17th in the 200 free…placed 15th in the 1650 free…competed in the 200 free relay…was 19th in the 500 free.

2010-11: Second in 500 free at NC State...posted personal best efforts at Howard and Davidson.

2010 CCSA Championship: Turned in personal best times in the 200, 500 and 1650 freestyle races.

2009-10: Turned in VMI’s top 500 free time as a freshman…Also swam on the Keydets’ top 800 free relay time of the season, coming at the Yellow Jacket Invitational…Competed in all but one meet.

High School/Personal: Son of Phillip and Mary Nelson…Four-year letterman swimming distance at Villanova Prep…Named MVP as a senior…Also a four-year letterman on the water polo team…International Studies major.
